One of the beneficiaries is a 12-year-old child diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy (75%) from a low-income family in Manali, Chennai.

Until now, the child’s mother carried her to school every day due to limited mobility. With the wheelchair provided through this initiative, the child is now able to commute to school more independently, easing daily challenges for the family.

These wheelchairs will be very useful for me on a daily basis like going to my daily work and will help me to engage in my day to day activities. Before we used to take the assistance of walking sticks which I will always depend on others to seek help in moving from one place to another.

The second beneficiary is a 45-year-old unmarried working woman from an economically marginalised background in Teynampet, Chennai, diagnosed with a Learning Disability (90%). She previously relied on under-arm crutches for commuting to work. After receiving the wheelchair, she expressed her gratitude, as the support has made her daily commute more manageable.

While meals were distributed across all centers, our team personally visited Tharamani Women’s Shelter to serve the food and spend quality time with the residents.

The laptops for both Saidapet and Kotturpuram centers were handed over at the Saidapet location. The Chudar team will facilitate the distribution to students at the Kotturpuram center to ensure equal access and support.

During the visit, the team shared insights about Navia and the Navia Cares program, highlighting Navia’s continued efforts toward education and empowerment. The session included a short discussion where students expressed their career goals and aspirations.

In total, the initiative benefited over 60+ students from both centers. The event not only provided essential digital tools for learning but also inspired and motivated students to pursue their dreams with greater confidence.

What is Navia Care?

Through Navia Cares, we aim to start small but meaningful projects that bring real change to people’s lives. Whether it’s helping someone with mobility or supporting education, Navia Cares is our way of making a positive difference. 

Empowering Young Minds Through Digital Learning

In October 2025, the Navia Cares team visited Rainbow Homes in Chetpet and Chudar Education’s After-School Centers in Saidapet and Kotturpuram, Chennai. The visits were filled with smiles, stories, and the shared excitement of new beginnings.

Recently as part of Navia Cares, the Navia team conducted a laptop distribution program on January 2026 at Kadamai Trust to support students’ educational and digital learning needs. Over 50 students were present at the event, including 30+ school students and 20+ first-year college students.

Through this initiative, over 210+ students received laptops and tools that will now become their companions in learning, exploring, and achieving their goals. These devices go beyond screens and keys; they represent hope, opportunity, and the promise of a stronger future.

The Navia team spent time interacting with the students, listening to their dreams and aspirations. The heartfelt conversations reflected the boundless potential that education can unlock when given the right support. It was a moment of connection where encouragement met enthusiasm, and every smile told a story of inspiration.
